Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for a General Manager to join its team at its RMS Tritec location in Virginia, MN. RMS Tritec is a full-service steel facility with a dynamic work environment and team of engineers, welders, fabricators, and machinists. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, and profitability. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing and leading a successful team of employees, building the branch's profitability, and creating exceptional customer relationships. This position will report to the VP of Mining.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily operation of the RMS Tritec facility, including sales, manufacturing, and engineering. 
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth, optimize internal processes, and maintain customer satisfaction. 
• Manage direct reports and maintain a positive relationship with all branch employees.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial management to ensure profitability and growth.
• Coordinate jobs by balancing shop capacity with customer needs to ensure timely delivery and efficient resource use. 
• Work with suppliers to ensure a good working relationship.
• Assist in negotiating raw materials sales, pricing and fabrication quotes. 
• Maintain an excellent working knowledge of our customer base and lead the sales team in identifying new business opportunities.
• Ensure accurate tracking and availability of materials, parts, and supplies to support production schedules and minimize waste. 
• Promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with required MSHA and OSHA rules, and adhere to regulations, policies, and procedures, including any Federal and State employment laws affecting staff personnel, company vehicles and places of occupancy.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, or manufacturing is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in mining, manufacturing, or construction industry related positions is preferred.
• Possess strong management/leadership skills, excellent communication habits, and a drive and ability to develop strong relationships.
• Proficient w/ computer: MS Office 365, CDK (ERP).
• Able to work responsibly, safely, and intelligently.
• Have the desire to take action, improve, and be appreciative.
• Possess the capability to engage with customers, co-workers, and vendors in a respectful manner.
