The Function

In 2018 Triple Point was appointed by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (now the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero) to the role of Delivery Partner for its £320m Heat Network Investment Project (HNIP). The fund’s aim was to accelerate the design and construction of Heat Networks across England and Wales to help the Government deliver the cost-effective carbon savings required to meet the UK’s future carbon reduction commitments.

In early 2022 TriplePoint were thrilled to be successful in their bid for the delivery partner role for the Green Heat Network Fund (GHNF), a successor scheme to the HNIP that is deploying more than £700m of grant funding to decarbonise existing networks and fund new low carbon networks in England. As Delivery Partner, Triple Point are responsible, among other things, for identifying viable projects from the current c£2 billion pipeline of potential public sector projects as well as other suitable schemes from the public, private and third sectors.

In 2025, Triple Point has been awarded a further Government Delivery Partner contract in respect of funds expected to be confirmed this Autumn.
