Your Role – Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key part in building and maintaining the software backbone of our payment platform. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering backend services and integrations that are secure, scalable, and well-documented. From API development to database modeling and test automation, you’ll help us move fast without breaking things—especially in a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities:
Develop backend applications in PHP (Laravel) with a focus on performance and maintainability
Design and implement APIs and internal services for financial operations
Write unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure system reliability
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and product discussions
Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps to support CI/CD and system tooling
Integrate third-party services (e.g., payment processors, core banking systems)
Contribute to continuous improvement of our development standards and delivery processes
What you bring:
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Solid experience with PHP (Laravel); additional experience with React, C++, or Go is a strong plus
Strong database skills (SQL, MariaDB) and comfort with data modeling
Hands-on experience with Linux and command-line tools is a plus
- Eagerness to learn and confidence to work through the unknown
Interest in secure software development and financial compliance principles
Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently on complex challenges
Professional fluency in English; French or Dutch is an advantage
