Description

Assist Maintenance Tech II and III with preventative maintenance and general repairs to machines and facility.  Perform set-ups and adjustments to production equipment as needed.  Build prototype orders and assist in proving out assembly processes and prototype tooling/machines before being released to Production.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 6 months to 2 years’ experience in general maintenance preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED Preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

TECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES:

• Basic repair and maintenance techniques and practices
• Safe work practices and policies
• Basic electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical knowledge
• General machining ability, a plus
• Team player
• Ability to handle pressure.
• Basic arithmetic
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• First responder to production equipment that is down or damaged.
• Assist in all preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain lighting
• Maintain all hand tools.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Assist with layout changes throughout the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

• Manual lifting to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with assistance).
• Repetitive detailed work with hands for 8+ hours of the day.
• Ability to sit or stand for up to 8+ hours.
• Be able to reach overhead with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool.
• Ability to Grip/Grasp at least 8 hours of the day.
