Position Overview:

The Oxygen/Warehouse Tech is responsible for clean & efficient oxygen products, while maintaining safety & security of their assigned area. They’ll distinguish if the Oxygen cylinders/machines are properly tested, cleaned & logged into their individual logbooks. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop & maintain working knowledge of current/new oxygen products & services offered by SG Homecare & all applicable governmental regulations.
• Assist with quality improvement to meet company state, federal & JCAHO standards.
• Responsible that all cylinders/oxygen machine equipment are properly tested & cleaned.
• Determine if defective cylinders/oxygen machines are suitable for patients or if they can no longer go back out, in which will then be discussed with the Warehouse Manager.
• Oxygen machines that are cleaned/tested will continue to have 2 washers attached to the back of each unit, as well as a “clean” Stance Health Solutions sticker.
• Assigned area will be maintained cleaned, organized throughout the day while making sure Oxygen logs are up to date.
• Perform other related duties as well as being flexible as required under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Responsible for all cylinders being filled daily with the most recent lot numbers.
• Monitor tanks & making sure we have sufficient tanks weekly, will report shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Maintain professional relationship with our distributor for warranty’s on DME, Oxygen, Enteral pumps, suction units etc.
• Exemplify a positive attitude while maintaining a professional attitude with fellow coworkers.
• Will create a log in regard to parts, supplies needed to fulfill job duties so that the Purchasing Manager can approve/order.
• At the end of each shift the Warehouse Supervisor & Manager will get a count on the cylinders for the night/following day.
• Complies with all applicable company policies and procedures.
• May be required to assist in cleaning, disinfecting, and repair of DME products.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED – required.
• 2-5 years of related work experience working in similar industry. Additional education may be substituted for years of work experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Good oral & written communication skills.
• Mechanically Inclined.
