Location: This is a hybrid role located in Woonsocket, RI. Must be able to work three days a week (Tue, Wed, and Thu) at CVS Corporate Headquarters at One CVS Drive, Woonsocket, RI and so must live within a commutable distance. 

What will you be doing?

In this client-facing analyst role, you will play a key part in driving business impact by utilizing Circana solutions to identify and measure opportunities for the CVS Merchants.  You will work closely with multiple CVS merchants across the business to drive business growth.  This includes developing a clear understanding of the business problem, designing the analytical approach, formulating, and testing hypotheses, synthesizing data findings into actionable insights, and developing tailor-made recommendations to present to clients. 

About you

Successful candidates will have previous experience with and exposure to big data, advanced data analysis, as well as relevant consulting experience in a client-facing capacity.  This individual is energized by the "detective work" of discovering opportunities hidden inside each new business challenge.  In addition, competitive candidates will bring a demonstrated track-record of creative problem-solving and the ability to create logical, concise, highly polished, and persuasive stories that create a call to action.

Job Responsibilities

  •  Develop a high degree of proficiency in Circana proprietary capabilities, data sets, and solutions including Unify, Intelligence Suite, Retail Advantage, Scan Panel, Loyalty Advantage, ShopperSights, Complete Beauty and MicroMarkets, as well as MS Excel and Power Point.
  •  Design and execute analysis using large data sets, distill insights, and translate findings into meaningful coherent, actionable, and fact-based recommendations appropriate to client business needs.
  •  Proactively provide analytical solutions and business insights to identify and address any business issues/gaps and/or opportunities and create value for the client.
  •  Coordinate and execute high quality on-going analytic and ad-hoc requests, demonstrating the ability to effectively manage overlapping deadlines and shifting project scopes, and ensuring all project deliverables and communications are delivered on-time, accurate, and highly polished.
  •  Present findings in internal touch-bases and collaborative meetings and join client meetings when appropriate to aid in the presentation of findings and recommendations.
  •  Cultivate a broad understanding of retail trends, Circana datasets, capabilities, limitations, and how they work together.
  •  Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills; present a professional and image.
  •  Consistently act with client satisfaction in mind and timely follow through on commitments to ensure the client needs are met.

 

Required Qualifications

  •  Creative problem solver with strong critical thinking skills
  •  Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  •  Able to cope with ambiguity and pivot effectively with poise and polish
  •  Able to work collaboratively in a cross functional environment
  •  Able to take direction, action feedback, and work independently
  •  Excellent organizational and time management skills
  •  3-5 years’ experience in a data analysis role, experience working with large data sets preferred
  •  Relevant experience or knowledge of Retail merchandising preferred
  •  Undergraduate degree required, with a concentration in business, economics or another quantitative field preferred
  •  Excellent data visualization skills and experience working with data visualization solutions such as Tableau or Power BI
  •  Advanced Excel and Power Point skills and experience

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.  An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000
