Shipping Associate bei VGM Group, Inc.

Job Purpose Summary:  

Assist in day-to-day operations of the Picking Associates on the floor and making operations run smoothly. Shippers will be operating at a computer station and checking packages for accuracy. This will require a team-player mentality, and you will also be committed to maintaining a safe and positive work environment.  

 Reporting Accountability: Site Manager & Outbound Supervisor

Working Location:  Lebanon, TN 

Work Hours Classification: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 1st Shift - 6:00am-3:00pm 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Consistently meets or exceeds departmental expectations.
• Shipping small parcel packages 
• Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors 
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized
• Report any order discrepancies or issues to management
• Handle errors that are found at the shipping station 
• Maintain a clean and safety work environment to prevent accidents and injuries
• Maintain compliance, safety, and quality standards by ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures
• Following safety procedures, maintaining precise records of all product movements, and implementing quality control measures are also crucial
• Capable of working overtime if needed, including extra hours during the week and some Saturday mornings.
• Maintain a clear and organized work environment by ensuring all work areas are kept tidy and free of hazards by regularly cleaning and organizing tools, equipment, and materials.

Key Qualifications: 

• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• High school education 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility a majority of the day 
• Ability to lift and carry 5lbs or less
• Making and stacking light weight boxes
• Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
