POSITION SUMMARY:

Primary responsibility for Installing, Configuring, and Maintaining corporate hardware and software systems around the network including but not limited to our WAN, LAN, VPN, and MPLS. Manages corporate data security, access control, and CCTV.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:    

  • Analyze and report computer network security breaches or attempted breaches
  • Identify the causes of networking problems, using diagnostic testing software and equipment
  • Document network support activities
  • Maintain wide area network (WAN) or local area network (LAN) routers or related equipment
  • Troubleshoot network or connectivity problems for users or user groups
  • Evaluate local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) performance data to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems, or for disaster recovery purposes
  • Analyze network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server function
  • Perform routine maintenance or standard repairs to networking components or equipment
  • Install new hardware or software systems or components, ensuring integration with existing network systems
  • Improve upon current network security practices to ensure protection from new threats
  • Manage phone systems and connections
  • Work with operations on controls network as well as interface with 3rd parties for access to our network 
  • Provide telephone support related to networking or connectivity issues
  • Document help desk requests and resolutions
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as required
  • Risk assessment, vulnerability assessment, and defense planning
  • Maintain data security log of tests, procedures, and emergency polices
  • Maintain Corporate IT Polices
  • Proper incident reporting and remediation for incidents that take place
  • Manage day to day of Access Control and CCTV - Assess when things need to be upgraded
  • Train employees in both physical security and digital security
  • Work with Vendors for support and coverage of systems
  • Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

            

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s degree with 3-5 years’ of related IT security experience or work equivalent
  • Ability to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system
  • Excellent communications skills (both written and oral) and strong Customer Service and Client Facing skills
  • Ability to maintain and test software and implement security measures
  • Proven ability to manage network functions

 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Regularly required to sit, use hands;
  • Occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with a potential of up to 25 pounds
  • Sedentary office environment
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, bump cap, skid-resistant leather shoes, etc.);
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practice (hair net, no jewelry, no fake nails or eyelashes, no food/drink, gum, etc. in manufacturing Plant).
