The Paper Store is a family-owned and operated specialty retailer with locations throughout the Northeast, Florida, and Illinois. Our Distribution Center (DC) plays a critical role in supporting our stores and fulfilling online customer orders. DC Shipping & Receiving Associate 2nd Shift 4:00PM – 12:30PM 

At the DC, we provide WORLD CLASS SERVICE to our stores by investing in our people and continuously striving for operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be a TPS Brand Ambassador
• Follow all TPS policies and procedures
• Cross-train and contribute across all areas of the Distribution Center
• Accurately verify incoming shipments against invoices, packing slips, and shipping records
• Maintain detailed receiving and shipping documentation, including delivery dates, damages, and shortages
• Safely load and unload trailers and containers
• Transport product between upper and lower building levels as needed
• Stage freight for processing in an organized and timely manner
• Pre-sort freight to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare and stage freight for outbound shipments
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment to support efficiency and safety standards
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Positive, self-motivated attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Flexible scheduling, including overtime and weekends during peak seasons.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, push/pull 75 lbs, stand/walk for 8+ hours, and climb ladders.
• Willingness to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Prior experience in dock operations, RF scan technology, material handling, or forklift operation a plus.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Respect for and adherence to local ordinances. 

Work Environment:

• Temperature varies inside the distribution center depending on outdoor conditions.
• Exposure to loud and/or sudden noises.
