About the Role:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
• Basic knowledge of safety and handling procedures for biological specimens.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in courier services, especially within healthcare or laboratory environments.
• Familiarity with local geography and efficient route planning.
• Certification in hazardous materials handling or biohazard safety.
• Basic computer skills for logging deliveries and communicating with dispatch.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and deliver laboratory specimens and medical samples promptly and securely between hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other healthcare facilities.
• Ensure all samples are properly labeled, packaged, and handled according to established safety and regulatory guidelines to maintain sample integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and chain-of-custody documentation to ensure traceability and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel, healthcare staff, and supervisors to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery issues.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe and reliable transportation.
