Primary Functions:

 

  1. Provides clerical support for the Radiology Department.  Answers multi-line phones.  Orders and stocks department supplies.  Performs data entry.

 

 

  1. Maintains manual and computerized patient, department and hospital records.  Retrieves procedure results for patients and/or physicians.

 

 

  1. Greets all patients, families and visitors that approach the Radiology Department window. 

 

  1. Demonstrates open and effective communication with other department staff members, health care providers, patients and families.     Works cooperatively with various ancillary departments in the provision and coordination of patient care services.

 

 

  1. Treats patients and families with dignity and respect.  Ensures confidentiality of patient records.  Interacts professionally with patients and families and provides explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary.

 

 







 

Other Duties As Assigned:

Accepts other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: 

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

 

Experience:

Previous clerical experience preferred.  

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.  Basic knowledge of computers.  Basic knowledge of standard office equipment.  Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.  Demonstrates flexibility, ability to multi-task and effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
