Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine).
- Active medical license in the relevant state(s).
- Strong clinical experience and expertise in utilization management and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience with utilization review criteria (e.g., MCG, InterQual).
- Ability to build strong relationships with physicians, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, coding, and billing practices.
- Experience with quality improvement methodologies.
