Neuroscience Group is looking for a dynamic leader for our clinical team in Physiatry. This is a full time exempt position working 5 days per week. The Clinical Coordinator efficiently and effectively oversees the operations of the Registered Nurses and Clinical Assistants. They are accountable for their team results and for advancing their team to greater success through the implementation of process improvement. 


For over thirty years, Neuroscience Group has provided excellent neurologic care for the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin. Ours is the only medical facility in the area that combines neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic spine surgery, interventional and non-interventional pain management, and physical therapy. Our practice has grown to over 50 providers and serves patients in nine outlying clinics scattered throughout the region. RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

  • Supports and promotes the mission, values, and strategic vision of the organization.
  • Understands and maintains confidentiality standards in compliance with State and Federal regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Maintains team culture among all staff to support and facilitate the attainment of the teams’ strategic objectives. Maintains a high level of employee satisfaction and morale.
  • Communication on a regular basis with their team to create a working environment where group productivity and quality can be accomplished and sustained.
  • Works with Clinic Manager and other Team Leads to support organizational goals and initiatives. 
  • Maintains professional affiliations and relationships to enhance professional growth and remains current with medical group practice developments and industry trends.  
  • Maintains appropriate work schedules for all team members and is responsible for arranging schedule changes and staff coverage for vacations and/or illnesses.  
  • Implements operational processes. Reports and communicates results so appropriate changes can be made to ensure success and quality standards are met.
  • Is responsible for analysis and making recommendations regarding appropriate staffing for teams.

Human Resources/Training and Development

  • Provides new employee orientation, training, and support to staff on use of office technology, information systems, compliance training/reporting and position duties.
  • Appropriately identifies, analyzes, and solves problems through individual and team facilitation problem solving techniques. Focuses methodologies for problem solving and conflict resolution in a manner that promotes continuous process improvement and employee involvement.
  • Responsible for annual reviews which provides coaching resulting in long-term, high-level team performance.
  • Takes a lead role in the interview, performance assessment and grievance/discipline processes with other team leads and Manager of Clinical Services and/or Manager of Human Resources and has input into the hiring/dismissal process.
  • Ensures that all team members clearly understand and comply with policies, procedures, and protocols.

Financial/Purchasing

  • Recommends to Manager of Clinical Services the need for capital expenditures and operating budgets.  
  • Communication of Clinical Supply and equipment needs to Clinical Services Manager.

Customer Service

  • Develops and maintains an effective service of customer relations to support the image and good will of the corporation with all customer groups.
  • Monitors and ensures agreed upon service standards are maintained or exceeded. Resolves concerns with sustainable corrective action.


QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications and Expectations for Clinical Coordinator

  • The Clinical Coordinator is expected to have formal training and/or hands-on experience in all roles within their functional team.

Required Credentials

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not required.

  • Proficient in Epic and other electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Requires frequent position change including some bending, stooping, and stretching. 
  • May involve lifting supplies up to 40 pounds.
  • May occasionally need to assist with wheelchair transfers.
  • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment. 
  • Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to communicate and function within this setting.
