Cowlitz Family Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) seeking a passionate and dedicated DDS or DMD ready to make an impact while delivering exceptional care to a diverse patient population. Requirements

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

  • DDS or DMD with 1-year experience providing general dental care
  • DEA license/registration to prescribe drugs, medications, pharmaceuticals and controlled substances
  • Valid driver’s license
  • No discipline by any professional or peer review organization, governmental agency, licensing body or hospital staff for any action or omission based on or related to quality of care.

  • Knowledge of dental clinical standards and practices.
  • Comfort with the pace of primary dental care.
  • Ability to provide service to patients of all ages
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with clients and other members of the care team.
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively under stress, simultaneous responsibilities, and demands from diverse sources.
  • Able to multi-task and exercise effective time and tasks management.
  • Ability to work with a low-income, multi-ethnic patient population and a demonstrated ability to relate respectfully and effectively to people of diverse racial, educational and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Must be a confident, self-directed individual who can work within a team as well as independently. Strong communication, organization, documentation and record keeping skills necessary.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based dentistry.
  • Solid background in patient education and lifestyle risk reduction.
  • Strong communication skills.
