Position overview
The Complete Vehicle Teams are taking responsibility for market specific requirements testing Complete Vehicle systems and services in North America by covering test activities along the development process of vehicle models and services. The Senior Manager Complete Vehicle ensures timely resolution and coordinates all relevant teams for all topics belonging to the field of test processes and infrastructure. The Senior Manager Complete Vehicle is also responsible for building, coordinating and growing the Complete Vehicle development activities in cooperation with other Porsche respectively VW Group entities in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Senior Manager Complete Vehicle is also responsible for Porsche Engineering North America, Inc. as the main contact and person in authority for their respective technical projects which cover all current and upcoming Porsche models within the market. This responsibility necessitates the capability of coordinating multiple teams in different locations (mainly regions of San Jose and Los Angeles) as well as staying abreast of the latest technology in development and validation within Porsche AG. This position collaborates closely with teams within Porsche Engineering, Porsche AG and PCNA, as well as international project teams and involved partners.
Roles & responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development of Porsche Engineering’s US prototype build up/integration, testing and development activities for Complete Vehicle in alignment with the overall strategic direction of Porsche Engineering
- Build and lead a US-specific Complete Vehicle prototype build up/integration, testing and development team in collaboration with Porsche Engineering Germany
- Lead and coordinate prototype build up/integration, test and development teams in multiple locations (mainly San Jose and Los Angeles)
- Ensure provision of ready-to-use test infrastructure in-time based on Porsche test plans by coordinating teams of test infrastructure engineers and suppliers to ensure set-up, updates, and maintenance of prototypes and test cars in alignment and collaboration with Porsche Engineering headquarter in Germany
- Collaborate closely with Porsche AG and Porsche Engineering development in Germany and third-party customers and partners to ensure all requirements are addressed and all issues are resolved quickly and to full satisfaction
- Coordinate and support commissioning and updating test systems prototypes and test cars based on wiring layout scheme, PIN definition, bus topology, infrastructure design as well as test data configuration on backend systems based on requests from a ticket system
- Prepare, align and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of test infrastructure and commissioning progress within testing teams and infrastructure for Complete Vehicle
- Actively support new team members and suppliers during onboarding process in terms of strategy, technical know-how, team structure, processes, and tools
- Working closely with international test infrastructure, integration and commissioning team coordinators in other locations as well as Porsche testing teams, function development teams, suppliers, backend development teams to share project information, improve processes and enhance know-how exchange
- Lead and coordinate test drive teams, endurance test teams and quality engineering teams with support for pressing and frequent topics

Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of automotive industry experience in engineering, managing or related role
- 10+ years of experience in development and testing of electric and electronic systems for vehicles
- 5+ years of experience in building and leading midsize to large teams
- Strong Experience with and knowledge of automotive systems, vehicle architecture and software within a large automotive group
- Experience with ADAS technology, systems and components
