Summary of Position:

As an Early Childhood Teacher at Healthcare for Kids, you will be instrumental in fostering the holistic development of medically complex children. The Teacher creates a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that promotes children's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth. She/he is a high-quality, compassionate care to children, prioritizing their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Current CPR (Basic Life Support) certification 
• Current negative Tuberculosis skin test (PDD) 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Childcare or pediatric experience 
• Leadership and organizational skills 
• Daycare or preschoolteaching experience

Physical Requirements:

• Environment: Work is performed primarily in a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Setting.
• Physical: Primary functionsrequire sufficient physical ability and mobility to work with a patient; to stand orsit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 30 lbs.); and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
• Vision: Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Hearing: Hear in a normal audio range, with or without correction.
