We are seeking an experienced, successful and engaged Title to join our team. This position is expected to work out of 653 Charles St. in San Jose, CA and limited job-related travel may be required. 

Position Summary: 

GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of a MRF Maintenance to provide support to one or more facilities. This role’s main function will be to perform general labor under supervision. As well as to have the ability to operate hand tools, industrial equipment, heavy equipment, motorized equipment and perform other job-related duties as needed safely and skillfully. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

• Follow Company and Cal-OSHA safety procedures to ensure safe working habits and awareness and wear all required PPE to perform the essential job functions.
• Clean, maintain and repair MRF equipment on a regular basis. Preventative maintenance includes inspection services, lubrication, adjustments and identifying any defects.
• Perform basic welding and use of torch, fabrication, and plumbing.
• Ability to use compressed air to maintain all equipment clean from dust and debris.
• Ability to work in close quarter areas around pedestrians and other heavy equipment. 
• Ability to follow directions, daily procedures, and protocols. Ability to understand and carry out written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to adapt to constant changing conditions effectively and stay on task.
• Ability to trouble shoot and make repairs to equipment, attention to detail and follow through required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to remove equipment guards safely and clean inside them.
• Ability to clean all idlers.
• Maintain all MRF floors clean and free of debris.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment to maximize proper functioning of the area, and the machinery.
• Cleaning bag breakers, metering bins, conveyors, screens, glass system and other equipment. 
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.
• The ability to work as a team and work well with others.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality required in order to minimize disruptions to the day-to-day operations.
