Job overview:
 

Schneider is seeking a Computer Operator in Green Bay, WI to provide first and second level support for Schneider’s business services and data center infrastructure. The Computer Operator will be tasked with system monitoring, problem resolution and the escalation of issues pertaining to critical IT systems.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor system events and recognize abnormal system activity across multiple platforms.
  • Provide problem resolution and escalate issues to higher level IT support when needed.
  • Monitor and enforce data center security.
  • Assist with batch job scheduling and production-control-related tasks.
  • Provide hardware support and print I/O functions.
  • Communicate incident identification, status, key action steps and other relevant information to designated technical, business and enterprise stakeholders.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suites.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and skills.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft certifications preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices preferred.
  • Experience with event monitoring, ITSM, capacity monitoring and data center environmental tools preferred.
