2025-2026 HIGH SCHOOL CO-OP PROGRAM
Calling all students interested in learning more about the world of manufacturing!
The SFS High School Co-Op Program is a paid, part-time program for high school students in their senior year currently enrolled in a vocational or technology education program. Co-ops are limited to no more than 25 work hours per week and must follow their school's guidelines. This year's program will begin October 20, 2025 with a starting hourly pay rate of $14.75.
The program includes rotations through our primary manufacturing departments focused on finding a career they wish to pursue with a transition into our apprenticeship program. Through this rotation, students will receive a comprehensive introduction to the manufacturing process flow as well as our core technologies including cold forming, precision machining, tool and die, supply chain/warehouse, quality assurance, robotic assembly, process engineering, etc.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a senior enrolled in a high school vocational and/or early-release program.
- Meet all qualifications established by the school to participate in a Co-Op program.
- This will most likely include a training agreement through the school!
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- If under age 18, able to obtain a minor work permit through the school.
All students may apply by scanning the QR code (see below). Once application is received, an email will be sent out to set up an interview date for November. Students must have transportation to and from SFS and have safety shoes (composite or steel toed). Safety glasses will be provided.
Participants in this program will be considered for the SFS Apprenticeship Program upon earning their High School diploma. An apprenticeship is a 4-to-5-year certified program that includes paid, on-the-job training and college-level courses in one of our established career tracks.
Applications will be accepted through September 26th, 2025!
