Direct Support Professional- Grand Island Day Center bei Hands of Heartland

Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team and provide support to the individuals we support as a Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for the Grand Island day centers.

Location: Grand Island, NE

What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP you will assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a home environment and in community settings. 

Hours: 7am-3pm during the weekdays that you're scheduled to work with every other weekend required. 

Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Understand the importance of documentation.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with current auto insurance.
• Experience not required – we will train you!

Pay: $15 per hour is starting pay. We pay more for direct experience and CNA license. We also offer CEUs for CNAs, allowing them to maintain an active license while working as DSP doing meaningful work that transforms lives!
