Starting Salary: $70,809.53-$96,724.89 annually

In this role you will:
• Support the oversight of electric production staff and the scheduling of production activities
• Ensure that established policies and procedures are followed to deliver power safely, reliably, and efficiently. Ensure compliance with NERC CIP regulations, focusing on both cyber and physical security
• Evaluates existing operating policies and procedures, and recommends improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability
• Assist in investigating operational and generation issues, including performance deficiencies and equipment failures. Monitor and analyze system data logs for anomalies or security issues
• Supervises production personnel and oversees plant operations on an as needed basis
• Assists in operations personnel training, through improvement of training programs

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, along with six years of progressively responsible experience in power plant electric production, including three years in a supervisory role or an equivalent combination of training and experience. They must be able to pass the annual Site Awareness Training test, comply with the Facial Hair Policy, and obtain and maintain a valid Illinois Driver's License. The position also requires availability for occasional work outside normal shifts and responsiveness to emergency calls and is subject to random drug testing.
