Farmington Public Schools Cafeteria Monitor needed for Irving A Robbins Middle School
Position is school year. Hours are 7:30am - 1:30pm M-F less 30 minute unpaid lunch (5.5 hours per day).

General Description: The Monitor engages in a variety of monitoring activities to provide order and safety throughout the school. The Monitor is responsible for supervising student behavior and engaging students in restorative learning in partnership with the school’s administrators. The Monitor also supports initiatives related to positive school culture and climate.
Qualifications:
Candidate should hold a high school diploma or college level degree.
Candidate should demonstrate the ability to communicate with students while maintaining order with large student groups.

Ability to control order with visitors to the school building and follow all visitor sign in policies and procedures

Reports To: School Principal or Assigned Staff Member
Salary: $20.41 - $24.63 per hour depending on experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain student order in assigned areas
Prepare reports, as required
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
Maintain all visitor policies and procedures
Monitor buildings and grounds to ensure a safe and secure school environment
Demonstrate ability to communicate with visitors, students and all members of the school community
Demonstrate respect for students, visitors and all members of the school community
Make sound judgements and have good problem solving skills
Other related duties, as assigned
