We are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position of:
Executive Director, Group Leader Late Development, Clinical Science (m/f/x)
remote, preferably in Germany, France or Italy
Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking an Executive Director, Clinical Science to establish, lead, and manage the Clinical Science Oncology function in EU. The position may also directly support key clinical programs with focus on regional site engagement. This position is integral to Daiichi Sankyo expanding and conducting clinical research globally.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Clinical Science Team in the EU
- Foster strong relationships with investigators and clinical sites and groups in EU
- Support key clinical programs with focus on site engagement in EU
- Partner with medical, clinical operations, biostatistics, regulatory, safety, translational research, and other functions involved in clinical development to studies and development programs forward
- Collaborate closely with Disease Area Strategy Teams to build tumor-specific clinical development plans and strategies
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and leaders across the Global Daiichi Sankyo R&D organization to achieve desired business results (short-term, mid-term, long-term)
- Ensure that Clinical Scientist receive the necessary training, coaching and support to fulfill their role
- Collaborate with regulatory to develop strategy and respond to requests for information, inspections, and support submissions and approvals
Personal Skills and Professional Experience:
- Extensive experience in oncology drug development
- Master’s Degree, PharmD, PhD with postgraduate training in oncology or related specialty
- Fluent in English and German and/or French
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, fostering a positive team environment
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovative and practical solutions
