Job Summary
The Adaptive Control Analyst will translate business strategies from internal partners, particularly the Credit Management team, into executable code within Adaptive Control software like Strategy Manager and PowerCurve. As the primary point of contact for systems such as Experian Probe SM, PowerCurve, and/or Defense Edge Fraud System, this role will gather business requirements, coding, testing, and install these strategies into production. The Analyst collaborates directly with Credit Management underwriters, collections/recovery/fraud strategists, and other business partners to evaluate and implement proposed business strategy changes.
Essential Job Functions
Implement new and ongoing business strategies through coding and unit testing within Adaptive Control Software. Conduct User Acceptance testing (UAT), securing sign-offs, and performing pos install validation using SQL, software specific tools, and mainframe utilities. Compile and maintain all necessary documentation for auditing and record keeping. - (35%)
Be the liaison between project teams and Adaptive Control Systems. Participate actively in gathering detailed project requirements by partnering with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex business issues, collaborate effectively to resolve problems, and develop comprehensive design documents outlining proposed strategy changes. - (25%)
Monitor error reporting and queues using mainframe error queues, reports, tables, and logs to identify and address issues promptly. Troubleshoot daily transactional issues and provide ongoing operational support for deployed strategies, ensuring system stability and performance. - (20%)
Conduct ad-hoc research and fulfill various data requests related to outlier accounts, unexpected results, account performance questions, unanticipated volumes, compliance/legal concerns, capabilities, and consumer complaints. Compile findings into clear, concise reports as needed for business partners. - (10%)
Facilitate clear and concise communication with technical and non-technical associates, as well as upper management, regarding strategy changes and system impacts. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to gain consensus on optimal solutions for strategy implementation and problem resolution. - (10%)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Computer Programming
0-1 years of experience in a credit, finance, or programming role, with exposure to scripting or query languages (e.g. SQL)

3+ years of experience in a credit, finance, or programming role with exposure to scripting or query languages (e.g. SQL)
