As a Senior Product Owner for Cash and Transactional Banking, the role will be directly responsible for delivering to product strategies, outcomes and priorities under Westpac’s Unite program including end-to-end product and process transition and supporting our future state readiness.

  • Location: Sydney-based role
  • On-site Requirement: 3-4 days in the office per week
  • Why On-site? This is a highly collaborative position involving regular face-to-face workshops and close team interaction, making in-office presence essential


 What’s the role?

•Partnering with the Service Owner to shape and execute the CTB migration roadmap
•Leading product backlog prioritisation and refinement across transition workstreams
•Ensuring product and process simplification initiatives are embedded in delivery plans.
•Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for customer and product migration
•Monitoring delivery progress, identifying risks, and escalating blockers to leadership
•Supporting the rationalisation of legacy products and alignment to target platforms
•Identifying and managing risks and controls for the changes being implemented

What do I need?

We’re seeking a seasoned Product Owner or Product Manager with a strong background in financial services and a passion for delivering customer-centric solutions. To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Ownership and/or Product Management within the financial services industry
  • Proven experience in large-scale customer and account migrations
  • Extensive experience in large-scale customer and account migrations
  • Essential experience in transaction, savings, and payment product suites
  • SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner certification
  • Extensive experience with executive level stakeholders 
  • A strong track record of supporting successful project delivery
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum practices
