Job Description:SGS is seeking a metallurgical technician to join the team in Welshpool.
Responsibilities include, however, are not limited to:
- Undertaking sample preparation tasks as directed in JR - these will include, drying, weighing, rotary and / or riffle splitting, crushing using a range of crushing equipment items.
- Assist senior technicians to complete projects which require a higher level of skills and experience to those of the technician in this role.
- Ensure project deliverables are achieved and quality outputs are reached.
- Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interests of the Company.
The successful candidate will have:
- 1 – 2 years experience in the minerals processing / production / laboratory testing industries.
- Knowledge and experience with various commodities and unit operations.
- Experience with some metallurgical laboratory operations and /or testing operations.
- A Forklift certification.
- First aid training.
