Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineering Intern is responsible for assisting in engineering calculations, site surveys, and design development. Daily components of this role include supporting senior engineers with development, schedule, accuracy, and workflow. The target dates for this role are May 2026 through Mid-August 2026.
Employees are expected to be available during normal business hours and to be logged into a group work sharing and communications during those hours. All members of our team are expected to work together in a positive, respectful, and professional manner.

Engineering Intern Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design, engineering, and implementation of energy projects, including tasks like data collection, analysis, and documentation, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support engineering and sales in development projects, with a focus on subcontractor coordination and correspondence, and development of technical estimates, proposals and supporting documents.
- Gain hands-on experience in the solar and energy industry, expanding your knowledge and skills.
- Potentially travel to project sites to gather data and assist with on-site activities.
- Any ad-hoc reporting, requests, or other tasks deemed necessary.
Engineering Intern Qualifications:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Support and participate in continuous process and quality improvement.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, phone, and keyboard. May regularly need to lift up to 20 lbs., unassisted.
