Full-Time: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
SUMMARY
Provide a full array of individual, group and family rehabilitative services to persons affected by substance use and mental illness in an outpatient setting utilizing integrated treatment theory, principles and methods. Provide Clinical Supervision as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply master level MHC, MSW or MFT theory, principles and methods to assess, evaluate, formulate and implement a plan of action based on client needs and strengths
- Intervene to address mental, social, emotional, behavioral, developmental, and addictive disorders, conditions and disabilities, and of the psychosocial aspects of illness and injury experienced by individuals, couples, families, groups, communities, organizations and society
- Engage in the administration of tests and measures of psychosocial functioning, provide client advocacy, case management, counseling, consultation, research, administration and management, and teaching
- Provide comprehensive mental health screenings and initial assessments to medically-referred and other clients
- Provide short-term and long-term, structured, evidence-based psychotherapy as part of an appropriate treatment plan
- Does concurrent charting allowing client to engage in treatment process by having the note completed when session ends
- Clinical services are provided within THRIVE Wellness and Recovery Inc. approved best practices and meeting quality expectations
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism, positive attitude and integrity in all aspects of employment
- Coordinate and collaborate with the client’s primary care provider to improve health outcomes
- Be a member of the Clinical Health Services team
- Facilitate referrals to other services (e.g.substance abuse treatment, specialty care and community resources) as needed
- Work to meet patient needs effectively and resolve individual barriers through follow-up, advocacy and collaboration with other clinicians and other community service providers
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all client related services and case management notes
- Provide regular, written reports to the Clinical Director and additional reports as assigned
- Diagnose mental, emotional, behavioral, addictive and developmental disorders and disabilities
- Administer and interpret tests and measures of psychosocial functioning, social work advocacy, case management, counseling, consultation, research, administration and management and teaching
- Develop and implement an appropriate assessment-based treatment plan for each client
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- As we work toward and maintain an integrated model of care you may be asked to work in either the addiction or mental health clinic based on client demands
- Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff
- Maintain supervision log
- Conduct clinical group supervision as assigned
- Be a team leader in the absence of the Clinical Director/Site Supervisor
- Assist in employee orientation
- Performs other duties as assigned or that may develop.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: Current valid license to legally practice as a LMHC, LMSW or LMFT in New York or limited permit. Have at least one year of experience of effectively providing integrated treatment services for clients and family members
Preferred: Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
