Security Equipment, Inc. is seeking skilled and dedicated Service Technicians to join our team. Our Service Technicians are service experts who are responsible for efficiently troubleshooting and repairing a variety of low-voltage systems while delivering a high level of customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must have the ability to clearly communicate with customers verbally and in writing
- Troubleshoot and repair multiple systems including Access Control, Fire, Burglar, Intercom and IP Video systems
- Work independently to execute multiple work orders throughout the work day
- Perform inspections and system tests
- Must be able to maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Maintain accurate time and expense entries with well-written notes
- Keep an accurate record of vehicle inventory
- Ensure departmental daily records are maintained and accurate
- Cleary demonstrates a safety mindset in all actions
- Other duties assigned
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must
- Previous service-based field experience a plus
- Ability to de-escalate stressful situations
- Minimum one year of experience installing Access Control, Fire, Burglar Systems, or IP Video Surveillance
- Must have an understanding of basic networking
- Ability to troubleshoot with a multi-meter
- Self-motivated to achieve day-to-day tasks independently
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Ability to climb ladders and operate a scissor lift
- Ability to provide the necessary troubleshooting skills for a variety of systems
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form
- Valid driver’s License with a good driving record
- Technical trade school education is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 – $38.00 (based on experience and qualifications)

Work Schedule:
- Standard 8-hour shifts
- Overtime may be required based on project needs
- Participation in on-call rotation as assigned
