Description
Performs routine dimensional inspection on component parts. Review's lab test data and applicable specifications related to raw materials and chemicals. Initiates inspection and discrepancy reports, Responsible for auditing and inspecting completed vessel assemblies to assure that each conforms and complies with all quality standards relative to packaging, integrity, and lot tractability assemblies.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of related quality or inspection experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with standard measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Solid understanding of basic mathematics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure inspection criteria and methods for weld evaluations are properly followed.
- Perform destructive and non-destructive testing in accordance with requirements.
- Conduct daily process verifications and dock audits, including random sampling of finished materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and submit accurate, timely reports in line with company procedures and ISO/TS 16949 standards.
- Identify and report anomalies during audits; follow procedures for containment, isolation, sorting, and corrective action.
- Perform Level 1 maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Maintain compliance with 5S/6S standards to ensure a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work is performed in both office and shop-floor environments.
- May be required to work weekends, holidays, or be on-call as needed.
- Exposure to mechanical and chemical processes; proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
