Heartview Foundation, a respected nonprofit addiction treatment center, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Day Treatment and Mental Health to lead our Day Treatment and Mental Health team in Bismarck, ND. Position Overview:
As the Director of Day Treatment and Mental Health, you will oversee clinical staff and programming to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate training, collaborate with clinical leadership, and play a key role in delivering services that support patients on their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support Day Treatment and Mental Health staff, ensuring consistency in patient care and adherence to policies.
- Oversee and assist with staff development, meetings, clinical coverage needs, training, and certification compliance.
- Lead and direct the operations of the program, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services and adherence to the highest standards of care.
- Work collaboratively with others in leadership, multi-disciplinary teams, and community partners to ensure quality care and to promote or enhance the organization’s goals and mission.
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to organizational planning and improvement.
- Provide direct support during patient crises.
- Provide clinical supervision when necessary and as requested by the organization for trainees.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain one of the following licenses in the state of North Dakota: Licensed Addiction Counselor, Licensed Master Addiction Counselor, Licensed Independent Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Consideration may be given to candidates with the status of Licensed Associate Professional Counselor if held in conjunction with another license.
- Must be an approved clinical supervisor by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners, North Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners, or the North Dakota Board of Counselor Examiners. Consideration will be given to those in the process of becoming an approved clinical supervisor through a North Dakota Board.
- 3-5 years of experience in a substance use disorder (SUD) or mental health-related position with supervisory responsibilities, or progressively increased supervisory responsibilities.
Additional Requirements: Qualified candidates must pass a background check and adhere to our drug-free workplace policy, which includes pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
