Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as an Addiction Recovery Counseling Intern in our Hope Center program at Behavioral Health Network!
This internship opportunity in the Hope Center program will support your learning in the following:
- Learning the intake process, including screening, assessing, and orienting individuals served.
- Providing case management & referrals for a small caseload of individuals served.
- Learning how to complete treatment plan and provide referrals & education to individuals.
- Shadowing and facilitating individual & psychoeducational group counseling sessions.
- Shadowing and learning how to provide crisis intervention, as needed.
- Learning how to complete clinical documentation, such as completing reports & other record keeping.
- Consulting with other professionals & collaborating as a team.
- Developing an increased understanding of co-occurring mental health & substance use presentation.
- Engaging in professional development trainings.
This internship would run for a flexible number of hours (based on college program needs total) and would be unpaid, as it is for college credit.

What are we looking for in an Addiction Recovery Counseling Intern?
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or certificate program with a related degree (required).
- Working towards completion of CADC or LADC II (preferred).
- Knowledge and understanding of substance use & co-occurring populations (preferred).
