POSITION TITLE: Information Technology Systems Manager
RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Information Officer
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as an IT manager or relevant experience.
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
- Expertise in data governance.
- Experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
- Ability to provide consulting/training/education services such as data management and staff training/orientation for standard systems.
- Experience with IT vendors, contracts and outsourcing.
- Ability to analyze situations, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions within standards (where applicable).
- Expertise in interpreting guidelines and analyzing information to adapt or modify technical processes in response to changing circumstances.
- Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to manage personnel and act as a resource to others to solve problems.
- Professional certifications as appropriate.
- Must demonstrate a deep commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Must pass a pre-employment drivers license record check and be cleared to drive our vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Manage information technology, computer and telephone systems.
- Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
- Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
- Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising performance.
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes.
- Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
- Assist CIO with developing a budget; purchase equipment, complete projects, negotiate and contract with vendors and ensure cost effectiveness.
- Responsible for local inventory maintenance and software license management.
- Maintain systems documentation.
- Consistently demonstrate professional, positive, and approachable attitude and demeanor and discretion.
- Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information.
- As appropriate, provide escalated on-site support of hardware, software and network connectivity issues.
- Act as the primary point of communication between IT and operating, business and functional units.
- Assist with meeting quality measures by completing tasks related to VFHC initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Prolonged sitting, bending, stooping, walking and standing.
- Correctable vision and hearing.
- Must be able to read, write and speak clearly.
- Manual dexterity.
