Now accepting applications for the Maintenance Director at The Oars at Greenback Lane. Come be a part of senior living designed with purpose and be part of a team that is redefining the culture of care. At The Oars, the Maintenance Director’s primary purpose and function is oversight of the community’s preventative maintenance program. The Maintenance Director is also responsible for the housekeeping team, community vehicles and the life and safety systems. Knowledge of general carpentry, health and safety codes and OSHA standards preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide a safe environment for all residents; Respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot/identify problems associated with major in-house environmental systems which include the Boiler System, HVAC System, Fire Alarm System, Delay Egress System, Wanderguard System, Water Softener System, emergency generator, home appliances, plumbing and electrical systems, etc..
  • Knowledge and ability to repair, correct, locate repair parts and/or contact third party vendor/contractor to resolve in-house system issue(s). Demonstrate ability to analyze complex tasks, system problems, and ability to implement effective working solution(s).
  • Ability to maintain general appearances and cleanliness of the community according to company standards.
  • Financial management, hiring, supervising, training team members, and communication among staff, families and professionals.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associates or higher degree preferred, but not required.
  • One plus year(s) of managerial experience of managing a department or group of employees.
  • Valid State Driver’s License required for vehicle travel.
  • Ability to be on call.
  • Experience in customer service is required.
  • Understand and operate environmental building control systems.
  • Operate tools and machinery in a safe and effective manner, utilizing safe workplace practices.
  • General carpentry skills which may include painting, floor care, carpet installation, wall- paper repair, cosmetic improvement projects, etc...
  • Title 22, Health and Safety Code, OSHA.
