Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Regularly inspect workplaces to identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the severity and likelihood of hazards.
• Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents to determine root causes.
• Represent the interests and concerns of employees on safety matters.
• Communicate safety-related issues and suggestions from fellow workers to management.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and discussions.
• Educate and train employees on safety protocols, procedures, and the correct use of safety equipment.
• Encourage a culture of safety awareness and vigilance.
• Advice and counsel employees and managers on safety-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain records of safety issues, inspections, and investigations.
• Assist in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Follow up on corrective actions taken to address safety issues.
• Assist with safety audits and inspections.
• Ensure that all necessary safety signage and documentation are in place.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3-5 years related experience and/or training. 

Additional Requirements

Pre-employment drug screen, Clean motor vehicle record. Able to lift 75 pounds without assistance. Eventual OSHA 30 training.
