Job Description:Job Summary:
The Part-Time Food Service Supervisor oversees daily operations of campus dining facilities during assigned shifts. This role ensures food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while supervising staff and maintaining a clean, efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise food service staff during meal preparation and service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas.
- Assist with food preparation and serving during peak hours.
- Train new staff and student workers on procedures and safety protocols.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Support catering and special campus events as needed.
- Operate point-of-sale systems and manage cash handling procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in hospitality or culinary arts preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in food service, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
