Self-Direction DSP - Hastings Area (Job #MA-NW)

Exceptional Family Resources is currently looking for a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Habilitation services for a young woman in the Hastings area. The ideal candidate will offer support in both home and community settings, assisting her in participating in meaningful activities and building essential life skills. Daily personal care support is also required. She enjoys staying active and holds memberships with several local organizations, offering plenty of opportunities for engaging and enriching experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide personalized support at home and in the community

· Assist with skill-building to encourage independence

· Participate in local events and recreational activities

· Foster social engagement and inclusion

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

· Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (highly preferred)

· Background or training in special education, caregiving, or related fields

· Strong understanding of behavior intervention techniques

· Patience, reliability, and a person-centered approach

Hours and days of work

· Monday through Friday 9am- 4pm

· Weekend hours are available

Payrate: $25.00

Location: Hasting

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assistance with independent living skills, support with health and safety and pursuing personal interests. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus. A reliable vehicle and a valid NYS driver's license are required. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
