Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Sales Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will analyze sales data, identify trends, generate forecasts, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and improve sales performance. You will report to the Senior Ecommerce manager and work closely with the sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) and uncover opportunities for growth.
Essential Functions
- Analyze sales data from various sources (Net Suite, POS, etc.) to track performance and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Create detailed reports, visualizations, and dashboards to monitor KPIs such as sales targets, revenue growth, conversion rates, and customer acquisition. Effectively summarize and communicate
- Work with management to set sales forecasts and update when needed
- Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement in sales processes and customer targeting
- Support strategic initiatives with data modeling, market research, and competitive analysis
- Collaborate with marketing and finance teams to ensure alignment of goals and data accuracy
- Proficient in navigating key customer account portals to gather account-specific data to utilize in sales performance and trend analysis, and the ability to execute key account activities
- Provide insights into product performance, customer segmentation, and sales channel effectiveness
- Maintain and improve reporting tools and templates for internal stakeholders as well as external customers
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting platforms
- Story telling from the data – identify the actions needed
Requirements
- Detail oriented self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset

- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and trends to inform decision-making
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills with groups of various sizes, and the ability to build rapport.
- Strong story telling with analytical skills
- Estimated 5%-10% overnight travel required when appropriate
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience as a sales analyst, business analyst, or similar data-focused role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
- Familiarity with building sales slides that tell a story for action
- Prior experience was part of an account team with a large ecommerce retailer
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Requires the ability to read written instructions, reports, and other documentation
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- The employee frequently is required to talk or listen
- Required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to lift-up to 25 pounds at times
