Position Summary:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) will perform daily activities that support the production department through timely repairs of grinding, forming, freezing, and packaging equipment while maintaining a safe work environment. Play a pivotal role in preventing production line stoppages by resolving mechanical and electrical related issues. Complete scheduled PM’s, accurately record work in a CMMS program, utilize good troubleshooting skills, and follow upon mechanical work orders.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze mechanical and operation processing equipment to resolve issues through the use of hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Repair production equipment including mechanical systems which may include hydraulic, pneumatic and electrically operated equipment.
- Trouble shoots electrical problems including opening electrical panels, replacing starters, contactors, relays, interpreting electrical schematics, etc.
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic parts, forming equipment, conveyor systems, packaging machines following diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of fundamental electrical skills involving electrical installations, services, repairs, wiring, conduits, fixtures and other electrical devices and systems (VFDs and PLCS) in an industrial environment.
- Read and interpret schematic drawings.
- Perform preventative maintenance of production equipment following standard operating procedures.
- Ability to use a computer-based program for entering labor hours, PMs, reactive and safety work orders.
- Maintain a safe workplace by wearing appropriate PPE and following all safety procedures including LOTO.
- Knowledge of FORMAX, HVAC, HAZMAT, MULTIVAC, Ammonia Refrigeration preferred.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to lift to 50-80 pounds when required to assist in various functions of the facility.
- Must be able to perform physical activity including bending, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, use common hand, and power tools, climb ladder, and work in elevated areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Accepts feedback, listens well, shows respect, and can present ideas and disseminate information clearly and concisely.
- Bilingual proficiency preferred to support effective communication across diverse teams and work environments.
- Highly disciplined, logical thinking, team oriented and strong work ethic.
- Can handle a fast-paced work environment, fair workload, meet deadlines and commitments and accept responsibility for their actions.

Competitive base salary ($25-$32/hour). Base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees.
