The Opportunity

 

Worldline MTS (Mobility and e-Transactional Services) provides end-to-end digital transactional services leveraging our products, data, and payment for a stronger customer engagement. Inside MTS, the “Transport and Mobility” pillar has objectives to facilitate powering journeys and movement worldwide, connecting people whilst prioritising customer satisfaction and social empowerment of our people. The Transport and Mobility pillar covers the following segments:

 

  • Transport Operations: delivering The Time Promise, by connecting the right operational people to the right assets at the right time, to enable an on-time railway.
  • Transport Retail: connecting people to transportation systems to improve their daily lives.
  • Mobility Orchestration: Integrating transport modes to make MaaS a reality.
  • Settlement and Specialist services: providing large scale critical platforms to keep transport on the move.

 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance & Business Support Manager to join our Transport Retail team in the UK. Reporting to our Transport Retail UKI Director, you will play a key role in supporting the financial and business operations of our transport retail products and services in the UK. You will partner with Heads of Department within the UK team, and the MTS Financial Controllers, to support our financial processes, business processes and cross functional administrative activities.  

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

 

  • Collaborate with Heads of Departments, and their teams, in monitoring and forecasting accurate P&Ls and budgets for their areas and sub-business units.
  • Provide check and challenge, alongside the Transport Retail UKI Director, of P&L and pricing models produced through bid or market development activities by sales or sub-business unit colleagues.
  • Support and supervise business reporting across the UK Business Unit to ensure accuracy, completeness and accessibility for internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage matrix resources across the UK team in supporting the timely issuing, and payment, of invoices and generation of Purchase Orders in collaboration with the Account Management team and sub-business units.
  • Partner with, and support, the MTS Financial Controlling function and team in their reporting and development of accounting against the Transport Retail P&L.
  • Deliver proactive cross product monitoring of financial and delivery KPIs to support senior managers in identifying and addressing issues across P&L and Investments.

 

Who Are We Looking For

  • 5+ Years of Financial and Business Support experience ideally obtained within a transport or mobility setting.
  • Experience of developing robust financial models, cost models and P&L forecasts.
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial principals (e.g Capitalisation, Depreciation and Amortisation)
  • Practical experience of generating invoices, monitoring payments and supervising purchase order generation.
  • Experience of collaborating with a financial team in a large corporate setting.
  • Degree educated in a financial or business related subject.
  • Professional membership of a financial professional body would be advantageous (e.g ACCA, CIMA)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products (Including Excel, PowerBI and Sharepoint)
