Required
- Master's degree.
- Five (5) years of experience in teaching and/or administration and supervision.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to the assignment.
- Administration and supervision PreK-12 endorsement.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, functions, and current trends of administration of the office and the department to which assigned.
- Knowledge of principles of educational leadership, organizational and project management.
- Knowledge of learning theory, effective teaching methodology, and current educational development trends.
- Familiarity with applicable regulations, legislations, and policies.
- Ability to establish and maintain successful cooperative working relationships with school-based and central office staff.
- Ability to manage and coordinate programs.
- Ability to effectively lead teams in multiple projects.
- Ability to supervise and evaluate personnel.
- Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Major Duties/Essential Functions
- Plans and supervises the multifaceted activities of school support services that provide a strong foundation for continuous student achievement.
- Plays a key role in developing strategies for achieving the goals contained within the FCPS Strategic Plan and is accountable for outcomes.
- Leads the systemwide efforts in the development, management, assessment, evaluation, and revision of programs and/or projects to ensure the quality of and equitable access to educational services and resources for students.
- Meets with stakeholder groups to identify and represent the learning needs of students within individual Division schools.
- Collaborates with school-based administrators and central office senior managers to define areas of school-centered development such as curriculum and teaching best practices, to support student success.
- Prioritizes support to schools, offices, programs, and projects.
- Develops research-based project plans and includes the applicable roles, tasks, goals, and timelines.
- Ensures alignment, continuity, and equity in messaging, services, and resources to stakeholders.
- Leads support initiatives for Project Momentum intensive and targeted schools.
- Manages risk and matters of compliance related to local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and mandates.
- Tracks Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) school accreditation requirements to support high achievement rate attainment.
- Develops and implements professional development and coaching for school-based leaders to ensure continuous school improvement and a consistent teaching standard of excellence.
- Provides professional development and specialized training opportunities for staff to develop team competencies and build workflow efficiencies.
- Administers, projects, and allocates assigned and required resources ? physical, fiscal, and human.
- Prepares and/or coordinates written and oral reports and analyses to identify and interpret trends or patterns in data sets that communicate key insights.
- Presents information and recommendations to senior management team or School Board.
- Represents the program, department, or Division in negotiating or facilitating resolution regarding matters of significance.
- Assists with the planning of policy and short- and long-term objectives.
- Tracks and monitors budgets and provides recommendations and advice related to budget development and forecasting.
- May negotiate and/or manage contracts, grants, partnership agreements, and/or memoranda of understanding/agreements.
