Logansport Community School Corporation - Performs routine and technical tasks related to the school health services as delegated by the school nurse and principal.
- Schedule is 4 hours/day, M-F (during the school session)
- Perform tasks/treatments for students, provide first aid care for ill and injured students, administers medication as described in School Policy, and documents in a timely and appropriate manner
- Assist in selected screening programs and record/document results
- Keep reports for the nurse to review and follow-up, perform clerical tasks as required
- Perform other duties as assigned and delegated by the school nurse and/or principal
- High school graduate, clerical skills, current Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate or equivalent, current CPR/AED certification
- Ability to use sound, mature judgment in taking appropriate action when direct supervision is not immediately available
- Nursing experience and/or health care experience helpful, but not required
- Ability to respect privacy rights of others and maintain confidentiality
- Qualifications may be waived at the discretion of the principal
