The Supervisor Environmental Services coordinates the activities of assigned Environmental Services/Linen Distribution staff to ensure that assigned areas are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Organize teams to complete cleaning assignments and work orders requiring multi-disciplined resources
Conducts patient interviews and respond to service recovery needs.
Participates in rounding and conduct routine inspections of clinical and non-clinical areas within the facility.
Demonstrates efficiency in managing time and completing work orders and requests within appropriate timeframes
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the occupied and discharge cleaning process.
Has basic knowledge of the Linen Distribution process. inventories and orders items to fully support patient needs
Identifies problems or quality challenges and develops/implements solutions and improvements
Plans shift assignments in the most productive manner possible. Controls overtime within 2.25 % of budget
Possesses a complete knowledge of EVS equipment and can demonstrate their use
Understands and can demonstrate the proper cleaning process for patient rooms. Trains all new caregivers in this process and provides retraining for appropriate Technicians I and II on an annual basis
Other Functions:
Demonstrate proficiency in floor care, linen distribution, and procedural area cleaning.
Demonstrate ability to utilize a bed tracking and capacity management platform to assign cleaning assignments.
Partner with an interdisciplinary team to effectively manage patient throughput.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role does require supervisory responsibilities of 1- 40 caregivers depending on scheduled shift and site location.
Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma / GED
Required Experience: At least three years of experience in a support services, hospitality services role or equivalent supervisor experience.
Travel Required
Travel is expected to be between [0%-10% of the time.
