Position Summary:
The Office of Campus Life is committed to maintaining and enhancing an extraordinary student experience through housing, activities, clubs and organizations, and enhancing cocurricular opportunities.
The Campus Center Assistant is responsible for maintaining a welcoming, safe, and well-organized environment in The Nest, Post University’s campus center and student hangout space. This position supports students utilizing the space, ensures supplies are stocked and available, and helps monitor usage of the student pantry and game areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assist students in The Nest to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Keep track of the on-campus pantry inventory and restock items as needed.
- Maintain game tables by restocking and organizing supplies, including but not limited to:
- Shuffleboard sand
- Ping pong balls
- Pool sticks and chalk
- Air hockey pucks and paddles
- Organize and tidy up the area throughout and at the end of the shift.
- Serve as a friendly and approachable resource for students who have questions or need help navigating the space.
- Report any maintenance issues, supply shortages, or student concerns to Campus Life staff promptly.
- Maintain Campus Life excel sheet for Nest interaction data and utilization
- Other duties as assigned by the Campus Life staff
Qualifications:
- Current MC student at Post University
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, public speaking, and interpersonal conversation.
- Collaboration and teamwork skills
- Patience, empathy, and compassion with a positive and encouraging attitude.
- Attentive to details
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to problem solve in active environment
- Are in good academic and judicial standing
