About the role
The primary purpose of this Line 1 Compliance role is to assist in leading the implementation, execution, and monitoring of the risk and compliance management framework and the regulatory and compliance change agenda.
- Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and increase awareness of regulatory and compliance obligations.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing ongoing communication and advice to Risk Owners and Divisional Management on compliance matters and the development of processes in line with the Board-approved risk appetite and Allianz Risk Management Framework.
- Contribute to strengthening governance and the compliance framework.
- Direct the implementation and monitoring of compliance plans.
Provide advice on the implementation and promotion of corporate compliance and policies, liaising closely with the Second Line of Defence on all divisional-specific compliance matters. - Ensure operational compliance plans and assessment activities are kept up to date and adhered to.
- Support and advice on business solutions for incoming regulatory changes.
- Guide management in developing action plans to address breaches.
- Guide the development of compliance-specific KRIs/metrics.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Law or Business Management.
- Significant leadership experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit within a complex, matrixed financial services (corporate) organisation.
- Advanced communication and writing skills required.
- Technical understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to apply practical and commercial acumen to business problems.
- Demonstrated experience in assessing risk levels and able to propose solutions to mitigate risk.
- Demonstrated experience in process and control design, with the ability to understand operational and compliance risks inherent or emerging in a business area.
- Proven ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes cross divisional.
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, providing pragmatic commercial solutions to meet stakeholder expectations.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
