Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and relationship-focused Gift Card Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of brand partners within our gift card distribution network. This role is responsible for managing and growing partnerships with leading restaurant, retail, entertainment and lifestyle brands, ensuring that their gift card programs achieve maximum performance across our retail, digital, and B2B channels. The ideal candidate is skilled at client management, program optimization, and sales growth, with deep knowledge of the gift card and prepaid industry.  This is a 5-day on-site role in Pittsburgh, PA. 

Responsibilities

Brand Relationship Management 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned brand partners, building strong, trusted relationships with their marketing, finance, processor, and operations teams. 
  • Represent, and advocate for, the brand to national gift card distributors to maximize sales opportunities. 
  • Conduct regular business reviews with brands to share sales insights, campaign results, and growth opportunities. 
  • Attend industry events. 

Sales Growth & Market Strategy 

  • Develop and execute joint business plans with brand partners to increase category share and gift card revenue. 
  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to provide strategic recommendations to brand partners. 

Program Development & Execution 

  • Collaborate with internal merchandising, marketing, and digital teams to maximize brand visibility across retail, e-commerce, and B2B channels. 
  • Partner with brands on seasonal campaigns, special promotions, and incentive programs to drive sales lift. 
  • Create and launch new gift card products. 

Analytics & Financial Management

  •  Monitor sales performance and profitability metrics for each brand partner. 
  • Deliver data-driven reporting and actionable insights to internal stakeholders and brand partners. 
  • Partner with finance teams to ensure accurate tracking and forecasting. 
  • Forecast and monitor gift card inventory. 

Impact Statement

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to establish trusting relationships and retain and grow gift card revenue for multiple high-value merchant clients.  Example expectations include but are not limited to: 

  • Lead 5 - 7 existing brand partner relationships, including 1-2 in-person business review meetings per partner annually. 
  • Manage all aspects of the brand's gift card program, including in-store, online, third-party, and business-to-business (B2B) channels. 
  • Manage and track sales metrics by channel and consistently achieve annual revenue targets. 
  • Develop client-approved marketing plans within established budgets and with on-time and accurate execution. 
  • Identify new opportunities for distribution expansion, including physical retail, loyalty programs, bulk sales, and emerging digital platforms. 
  • Advocate for partners by ensuring internal operational, development and customer service issues are resolved in a timely manner. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 5+ years of account management or partner management experience, ideally in gift cards, prepaid, retail, or consumer products. 
  • Proven success in managing client relationships and driving revenue growth. 
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. 
  • Analytical thinker with proficiency in MS Office suite. 
  • Ability to balance multiple brand accounts and projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Self-motivated and driven problem solver.
