Forest Hills Country Club is looking for an Assisant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. Also known as “The Family Club of Choice,” Forest Hills was founded in 1964 in the prestigious suburb of Clarkson Valley in the greater Chesterfield area. We are dedicated to enriching the lives of our members and their families through exceptional recreational, social, and dining offerings in a private club environment. Our members enjoy world-class golf and amenities within a friendly and inviting atmosphere with our 27 holes of golf, 2 pools, 6 tennis courts, and 3 pickleball courts. We host a rich history, regarded as one of the best Clubs in the Midwest.
The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will work in conjunction with both FOH and BOH staff in all dining areas at Forest Hills Country Club. Primary focus will be on the club's seasonal outlets including but not limited to our Bocce League, Cabana pool side dining, cafe, and club related seasonal events. This position will maintain budgets as well as manage and supervise staff to ensure that our service forward culture is being met.

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage and train staff members, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain adequate stock while controlling costs.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food preparation and presentation.
- Utilize POS systems to track sales, analyze data, and make informed decisions to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Plan and execute special events, banquets, and catering services, ensuring a high level of service and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote cross-functional teamwork and achieve overall business goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the food and beverage operations.
- Assist the Food and Beverage Director in any other duties as needed to support the success of the department and the establishment.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Food Safety Certification
- Alcoholic beverage certification
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch
- Push, pull, lift 50lbs
- Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment
Education and/or Experience:
- High School education or equivalent.
- Previous fine dining and/or banquet experience.
- Minimum two years of experience as a head waiter or wait staff supervisor in a fine dining venue.
