Collections/ Account Receivables Clerk 

Vertical Alliance Group is the parent company of Infinit-I Workforce Solutions—online training tools, including a learning management system (software application that helps create, manage, and track learning materials) for industries like transportation, distribution, and warehousing.  

This is not a remote position.  This position reports to work Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm at our corporate office.

Result Statement: 

Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding debts and track payment activities, and maintain detailed accurate records for all collection efforts, communications, and payments received.  

Tactical Work Listing (Tactical work for which this position is accountable):

1. Contact customers about overdue payments in accordance with established procedures
2. Negotiate payment plans with management involvement
3. Maintain accurate records of collection activities
4. Maintain an accurate aging report
5. Prepare and submit regular reports on activities, account statuses, and payment trends to management
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills will be required for resolving debtor issues
7. Create new accounts in Financial Software
8. Enter Salesperson percentage for commission in notes in Financial Software
9. Take invoices to Client Services Lead for review before sending
10. Post client payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
11. Resolve billing discrepancies
12. Prepare bank deposits
13. Perform general office duties such as filing
14. Assist with month end closing
15. Call customers to set up vendor info and obtain W-9
16. All invoices will be reviewed, printed, and mailed and/or emailed to the client by the date on the invoice
17. Work will be well-organized, and all filing finished weekly
18. Will not discuss company financial information inside or outside of the company
19. Experience in QuickBooks and Salesforce is essential and preferred
