About the Department
Seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Soccer Coach to lead and develop players (ages 3-12) in a positive, engaging, and structured environment. The coach will be responsible for planning and conducting practices, teaching fundamental and advanced soccer skills, fostering teamwork, and ensuring player growth both on and off the field. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about working with children and promoting skill development and sportsmanship in a non-competitive setting.
- Design and implement age-appropriate training sessions that develop technical, tactical, and physical skills that are focused on fun, skill building, and teamwork.
- Provide positive reinforcement and constructive feedback to enhance player development.
- Introduce fundamental soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and coordination in an engaging and supportive manner
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all players feel encouraged to participate and improve and emphasizes respect and effort.
- Ensure player safety by following best practices for warm-ups, cooldowns, and injury prevention.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and organization staff regarding schedules, and expectations.
- Set up and take down equipment as needed for practices/games.
- Monitor and evaluate player progress, making adjustments to training plans as needed.
- Adhere to all league, club, and organizational policies and procedures.
Position Duties
- Minimum hiring age is 18.
- Passion for working with kids and creating a fun learning environment that enhances player development.
- Strong leadership, patience, and communication skills.
- General understanding of soccer rules, techniques, and tactics.
- Ability to engage and manage young children in a group setting.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to the program schedule.
- Ability to work afternoons/evenings and weekends as required.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strength and conditioning certifications is a plus, but not a requirement.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
While performing this job, the employee must communicate orally with others and be able to carry, lift, hold, push, and pull up to 50 pounds of equipment. The employee must regularly stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
