Skills and Competancies
- Demonstrates a strong interest in exploring and learning emerging tools and technologies in data and software engineering—especially Python, Amazon Web Services (AWS), relational databases, and Microsoft platforms
- Approaches challenges with analytical thinking and a creative mindset, eager to develop innovative solutions in dynamic environments
- Possesses strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new tools, frameworks, and workflows
- Communicates clearly and effectively—both verbally and in writing—and thrives in cross-functional team settings, contributing ideas and learning from others
Education
- Students matriculating through college, studying towards a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, in Computer Science, Engineering or diverse STEM backgrounds
- Graduation Date of December 2026-June 2027
- Ability to work during program dates: June 2nd- August 7th, 2026
Responsibilities
- Support ongoing initiatives by assisting with data analysis, research, and project tasks that drive business outcomes
- Participate in software and product configuration activities, including basic debugging and performance tuning under guidance
- Show enthusiasm for continuous learning through courses, workshops, and by taking on new challenges beyond the comfort zone
- Demonstrate a willingness and ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to data engineering
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to help investigate and resolve technical issues, including contributing to the resolution of complex defects with support from senior engineers
About the Program
Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June – August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly range for this position is $35 per hour, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
